Our Childrens Policy
As our kids are important to us, we want to do all we can to ensure that they have a safe, fun environment to enjoy and that you, the parent, understand how we go about this. Our policy document details our screening process and is freely available to all parents of children attending our children’s programs. If you’d like to see a copy then simply contact the church office and ask for one.
Working With Children Accreditation
We want our kids and teenagers to learn and have fun, but a high priority for us is that they can do this within a safe environment. All our Sunday Jam leaders have working with children accreditaion and have passed necessary police checks. All leaders are at least 18 years of age. Sometimes we encourage appropriate youth under 18 to be helpers, but they are always under the direct guidance of an appropriate adult leader.
As part of providing a fun, friendly environment for kids we want to keep up with the latest training opportunities that are available. One of these is the Safe Church Course that is provided by the Baptist Churches of Western Australia. It is a one day seminar that focuses not only child safety but the safety of anyone who attends our church.
